About me

Hi, I’m Luis, an artist and developer from Santiago, Chile. I combine my love for art and technology to create illustrations, websites, games and 3D art.

Summary

I’m a 2D/3D artist, web developer, and project manager. My passion lies at the intersection of art and technology, and I love to work on projects that allow me to combine these skills. Whether creating websites, 3D art assets, or illustrations, I try to put my best effort always.

Web development

I currently serve as Chief of Projects at CRON, a digital agency, where I am responsible for planning and managing web projects. I specialize in HTML, CSS, and PHP development, with a particular focus on creating WordPress sites from scratch. My experience ranges from quick campaign sites and small business sites to larger enterprise portals. I also work as a freelance web development consultant. You can visit my web development site here.

Game Development

Beyond web development, I also have extensive experience in the gaming industry. I’ve worked as a 3D artist for video games, commercials, and various engineering projects.

On the gaming side my portfolio includes characters and weapons art for games like Zeno Clash I and II, Rock of Ages 1 and 2, and Abyss Odyssey for ACE Team. I also worked with AONE Games on a few characters for Omen of Sorrow, and I collaborated with Dual Effect doing character art for a yet to be disclosed project. I even had the opportunity to teach game art for a while at Academia MacPC, further cementing my love for this field. Right now I’m working on a few game ideas of my own, visit Fantasy Foundry Studio for more.

I’m working on pre-production for a sci-fi hover bike racing game: Ether Racing League, take a look!

Commercial 3D and visualization

In addition, I’m the founder and main artist at Sinteza Design, a 3D studio that specializes in architectural visualization, engineering projects visualization, product renderings, and virtual photoshoots for advertising. We also create characters and environments for the games and media industries as an outsourcing partner.

Apart from my professional endeavors, I have several concurrent personal projects. These include web apps, personal games, websites, and illustrations. As a passionate fan of anime, video games, movies, and TV shows, these projects often draw inspiration from these mediums.

Others

I hold a degree in Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication, at Universidad de Las Américas. I am fluent in English and Spanish and have elementary proficiency in Japanese (thanks Duolingo).

Throughout my career, I’ve been recognized for my work, including a 2nd Place in Epic Games’ Make Something Unreal contest in 2009 for the Best Machinima category. I’m also the founder of GameArtist.cl, a community for video game artists in Chile that was active for a time.
